Vanessa Hudgens and boyfriend Austin Butler landed themselves in trouble after a romantic Valentine’s Day weekend in Arizona.
The young love birds got into hot water after they carved their
names into a rock formation in the Coconino National Forest in Sedona and posted the picture on Instagram.
But a spokesman for the Red Rock Ranger District says it is illegal to “damage natural surfaces or property of the United States.”
The maximum punishment for a violation, if convicted, is six months in jail and/or a $5,000 fine.
Hudgens, who came to fame starring in Disney’s 2006 hit, “High School Musical,” posted the photo which has now been deleted.
Normally it’s hard for federal officials to catch people in the act, but posting it to Instagram is what may get Hudgens in trouble.
Seems like Hudgens was channeling her bad girl character Rizzo from Grease:Live!
