Remember that lurid story of stripper Aziah “Zola” Wells road trip that went horribly wrong and played out on Twitter under the hashtag #TheStory? Yeah, neither do we, but apparently it captivated a lot of people, including David Kushner, who wrote an exclusive story about it for Rolling Stone magazine entitled “Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind the Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted.”
And now James Franco is turning it into a movie (of course!). The quirky actor along with Andrew Neel and Killer Films are developing the film, with Franco set to direct.
The movie will be based on the Rolling Stone article, which makes us wonder if Zola, will see any of that movie money.
The stripper story is in fact very real and a part of a real sex trafficking scheme, which ends in the arrest of the the “Nigerian pimp, ‘Z” aka Akporode “Rudy” Uwedjojevwe, who was charged with sexual assault, sex trafficking, battery, attempted pandering and felony counts in Nevada.
