Erin Storm, a contestant on season 12 of The Bachelor died on Monday around noon in Hawthorne, California in a “light aircraft accident.”
According to Storm’s Facebook page, she was working as a pilot for Pacific Blue Air, an aircraft training facility based at Hawthorne Airport, at the time of her death.
Friends of the young woman expressed their grief on social media. Christiana Marie posted on her Facebook page “It is with the heaviest heart I’ve ever had to be posting this. My sweet Erin Storm You have changed my life in many ways and showed me what TRUE BEST FRIENDS are all about!!! Heaven just received the most incredible angel in the world. … I am filled with such sadness to lose one of the most incredible friends I’ve EVER had in my life. I’m still in shock woman. I LOVE YOU with everything I am. I will NEVER get over the loss of you.”
The Hawthorne Police Department also posted news of the crash on its Facebook page Monday: “On Monday, March 21, 2016, at about 12:00 PM, Hawthorne police officers were dispatched on a report of an airplane crash in the area of 120th Street & Crenshaw Blvd. Officers located a small, single-seat aircraft on fire in the 3300 block of 120th Street, directly north of Hawthorne Airport.”
