Celebrities Take To Twitter To Voice Views About Bill Cosby Sex Charges

Celebrities have taken to Twitter to react to Bill Cosby’s arrest.

A host of stars expressed their opinions on social media after the 78-year-old comedian was released on $1 million bail on Wednesday after being charged with indecent assault.

Following Cosby’s brief court appearance, where he was accused of allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand, Girls star Lena Dunham praised the court’s decision.

The 29-year-old wrote: “Grateful that Bill Cosby’s criminal record will be marked forever, like the lives of the women he raped. They deserve justice and peace. If I believed in hell Bill Cosby would be going there.”

Director Judd Apatow also tweeted his reaction to the news: “Bill Cosby has spent his life attempting to silence the women he has assaulted with threats, lawsuits and money.

“Hopefully now many of these women will get to tell their stories in a court of law and the people who supported him will get deposed.”

Actress Amy Schumer responded to a fan who referenced her parody of the Cosby case. “It’s so awful!” the Trainwreck star wrote.

Comedian Arsenio Hall tweeted: “When I was a kid, and you heard the word “Cosby” and “booking” … it was in reference to him doing stand up in Cleveland. #smh #speechless ”

Cosby has denied all of the allegations.
