AFTER three years out of the limelight, Adele’s comeback is officially a success.
The 27-year-old singer’s latest album ‘25’ has broken the single-week U.S album sales record, selling at least 2.433 million in just over three days.
If that wasn’t good news enough for the British singer, new figures revealed she even managed to earn almost $26 million last year when she wasn’t even working.
Companies House in the UK released details stating Adele’s company, Melted Stone, had netted the whopping amount which equates to a mind boggling £46,566 per day.
This week’s album sales beats the record previously set by NSYNC’s No Strings Attached, which debuted with 2.416 million copies in 2000.
Adele’s debut single ‘Hello’ is also the most downloaded song of the past week, having sold a staggering 2.6 million copies since its release.
